Asia Conference 2008
Posted at Monday, November 24, 2008

I was bored while waiting for the train.. when i spotted people waiting for train like this. I was a little shock, this ain't coffee shop, so i took out my camera and snap a shot.
So, it was hairdo by our very own stylist, millie! :)

the shaker ladies. My RP mate, my classmate, my strikeforce mate and my train ride companion! :)

:)

It's all over! It has been great! Awesome. Mind-blowing.
I never thought we could have fireworks in the hall. HAHA.
I thank God i did not have to queue up since most of the days i was serving and helping out.
Still, the number of hours staying there was equivalent to the no of hours queueing up.
Nonetheless, all was good. I thought we would all be ushered to the overflow room after every thing was done but thank goodness, they had seats reserved for us.

Everyday is rushing from school to expo and from expo back home.
It ain't easy balancing this kind of life. School, exams, conference, work.
Woe. Tired like mad but all is good. Not yet time to rest, mon and tues there's pract for World Aids Day. Ah, busy busy.

The best night was on fri night, i caught something in the spirit.
I was all alone sitting at delta terrace and surrounding me is some delegates who seems uninterested, but i careless about how they reacted and just kept on doing what i always did.
Well, i jump the highest i could, i clap and cheered the loudest i could despite the fatigue.

It was went PK said: "The ones who are seeking to go up another higher level." Ah, desperate.
Today he asked: You hear people keep saying you want more you want more of Him. But why do you need more? I begin to think.
Ah.. shant say things to publicly. Let's talk about it privately if need be. :)

okay, time to rest. UT tmr. i need to score! A fighter fights till the end.

While everybody is fast asleep, behind the scene, the people back in expo is working hard to make it a big one for you over at expo. There's a saying in mandrain.. 3 mins on the stage is 3 years behind the scene, truly, there's so much of rehershals and so much of tightening. It's amazing whole lot of work to be done, no hiccups are to happen, really got to pray for safety for everyone.

I walk into Hall 7 and was overwhelm by the number of tables and chairs in the entire hall. It's really a QIAN REN YAN. feeding 6k people, i doubt so. perhaps i'll just tarbao food on my own. Yeah, everything is all good to go except the linning up of the performance and the coordination of video, screen and the person, well, not easy also. Was supposed to be there at 7 but i was far too early, so 530 so i headed to foodfair at expo! :) It dragged and dragged and dragged. By the time it's time for us the MIB to help it has already pass midnight. Tiring as it may be, i was still elated to be there being part of the team helping the least i could, i could see the exhaustion on the faces of the sound crew people. They had panda eyes so dark, inspite of the fatigue, they are still needed to be sharp, on guard and fine tine every single aspect. A big salute to them.
Was just observing the various sequence and it's mind blowing, seriously, the effects, the lightings and whatsnot, the events that is installed for us all. Make sure you come prepared ready to recieve something, because behind all this is really hard work, late nights and lots of money, lots of creative juice, appreciate it yeah, don't take things for granted.
our free time is to play with bradon, justin's little one.
behind the scene

aiyoh.. jasmine u eyes!

when irenenaus and i decided to do some contruction work.

i have a very wolfy face i think.
so cute!
this is the table for the QIAN REN YEN

You know the best birthday present ever. Like what Kenneth said: the birthday celebration of the typical birthday celebration. Aw, bestest seriously. I believe with this license i am able to serve God even more effectively, i am able to do more with lesser time. HAHA. But first, i need more cash for petrol and all. I've yet to get hold of a cash card.
Everything is so exciting, i drove with dad yesterday for coaching and today i drove myself to work, it was so thrilling! Shiokness. N yes, i did the parking myself, MYSELF.
i wanted dad to teach me first before he release me on my own, but yeah, i tried it all myself, 2nd attempt and yes i got my bum into the empty slot.

You know, i was celebrating with Meng and i wanted to see if joycelyn was working, true enough, i spotted her, and she was loud! she said.. HEY! come in and pick anything you like. my jaws drop. Lots of customer's eye was on me. HAHA! I bet they must be thinking, tell that to me!

God is good yeah, even a shopping trip, he shower down blessing.

yeah, i need not do it manually anymore when i change the guitar string. hahaha, this is going to be a great tool, and i am going to utilise it to the max. :)
The gift of the gift, the long-awaited Oakleys!
from my classmates, and i really want to thank every individual one of them.
THANK YOU!! :) many loves!!
the card minette did.

Thanks babe, haha, i have come to realise that it's not how pretty, how fantastic the card looks anymore, it's the content, it's the effort(right? WLC), it's the words from the heart.
Very awesome, every message written brought a smile and flex that facial muscles on my face,
thank you cell group, W302.

HAPPY BIRTHdAY VICTOR TAN!
okay, that man is 30 years OLD already. V old. :p

okay, today marks history. lol. Nov 13th 2008.
because i've finally gotten my driving lesson!!!!!!!

WAH. happiness. i tell you, i am so tired, trying to stay calm but yet that anxiety, that buttefly in my tummy, that amount tt i'm paying! That MUST pass attitude!

I woke up in the middle of the night a few times, 4am, 5am 6am.. every hour.
Afraid that i'll miss my circuit timing, (7am)
Thank God there was so much positive self-talk today. Motivation, Ai-Zai, Meticulous, Fighter
All this are really words tt kept me going. Even my instructorplayed that mind game with me, collected the money b4 i went for test, he's really confident that i'll not see him har?

Well, this test felt like competition for me. Every time i'll go and clear the bowels before i start off an event.
This time round, it's something i do not want to waste any more time.
I told myself, if i pass the test today, i'm going to pay for it myself. I won't ask a cent from DAD.
It was pouring and i got a little worried, i am clueless where's the head light, the wipper since i've not touch them before! Thank God i had a very good tester, he guided me.

Well, everything went off pretty well i presume, and i was pretty confident.
But, when he came back, he told me some mistakes i made, and that there were just a LIST of mistake!! I was so shock, i mean i thought i did OK? why so many mistakes? Of which, 6 of them is all about blind spot and 2 about sharp turn, another 2 about inappropriate gear.

He was trying to explain while i was trying to count the points, so i cannot take it, i asked.. SO... DID I PASS? he kept quiet, he smiled. I was thinking eh.. tell me! Don't keep me in suspense!
True enough, he smile and he show me the paper. WOW!! i was on cloud 9! Like seriously!!

Right, but it adds up to be a good 16 points, it's really like O levels la.
So, what your L1R4?Arh, MANY POINTS!

Yeah, i really need to work on my blind spots. woe. Now, it's to getting the techniques for parking and going up the multi-storey car park now. It's scary but it's worth it. :)

Suddenly, all the responsibilities piling, scary shit. 21st, adulthood.
here i come!

Thanks you friends and my loved ones for all the love and fun. Truly a memorable birthday.
I kept my fingers cross thinking that my friend that will turn up would be a good 50+ that's it.
Who knows, Lo and Behold, i did a head count after the party and i found out 94 came! Which is amazingly amazing. *jaws drop*

So, it was tiring hosting the party, because there's so many different group of friends and relatives and of which, i hope i don't leave anyone of you guys out. As much as possible, i tired to introduce my friends to one another.

Thank God for awesome friends who stayed in the room and they made all my friends who came up, deposited their bags and they make them feel so welcome. HAHAHA. It was a gretting: "hey guy! Meet my friend.. XX" and everyone will go HELLO!! amazing amazing. Very friendly RP-ians. :) Even when i was not around, you guys did the same to my friends! NICE.

Of course, there's like a thank you speech i need to give for those who helped me in one way or another. My auntie and uncle came to help cook. Followed by Yan Zhu, despite the fact that Suan Ping, Ting2 and Kelvin Pang seh her. HAIX. dissapointment. but nevermind, life still goes on. yeah, she helped iron the top and helped with the food and the balloons that are you guys see if all done by her! Khee Vun came shortly to help with the decoration and helped in carrying my stuff. Already i had muscle aches, all the shifting of stuff make it worse.

So, Marvin was my camera man and supposedly Chris and Jin was to help me out with games but.. there was just too many people with too little space, it was just a eat and be merry kind of party. Lots of photo-taking session, and that's it.

There was lots of common friends also. Like Jeremy knows Ruixiang. Jin and Alex. My bro and Wei Yan and yada yada..

Thank you uncles and aunties for the generous giving to my angpao. It was 600 3 years back when i had both sides of my relative coming, but this year i only invited 1 side.. and tt amounted to 500 already!! Even my uncles who cannot make it to the party gave me generously. Very touch i must say.

The cousins who came, and i am suprised ALL came. You guys really brighten my day la, and that special birthday song item they all sang for me privately :) Very much loved.

Some pointers to note: HAHAHA. don't give people empty promises when you cannot keep.
When you say you come, you come, your word is your bond.
Chairs for guest to sit on is very important as well! my apologies. tsk*
There is a need to assign someone to help you refill that water dispenser because it just keep running out.
Busy people always have lots of busy friends. Thus, all your busy friends come super late and they tend to eat very little.

Well, on a side note, went for a walk with zhi wang, panda and sab to MCKS since wang needed some milk. wah, that was exciting i tell you, i was tired but yet i just kept running because.. the lightning was so close! We dodge and ran and continue dodging and running. shelter to shelter we went and in that every shelter we did silly things like playing games, dancing and singing. Very exciting i tell you, plus there was indians surrounding us, so that spice things up even more, we sang and dance to the music the indians played. just imagine......

well. i guess that's it. I loved the flowers. i wanted to do an exchange but i realised not all of them brought so it'll be funny if some go home empty-handed so i decided to keep it for myself. LOL!
so yeah, it ws great awesome. I love the presents and more importantly i love the company of all my dear friends! :) Thank you guys for making that day special and making it happen for me! :)

HAHHA. LMAO. Dharshy is sooo funnny!
RP polo boys did us proud. bronze this IVP. Although I thought they could do better since we have 3 nationals players in the team! Anyway, this was what dharshy said in the report:

"The second match between RP and Temasek Polytechnic (TP) was quite a challenge where RP won by one goal with a score of 15-14. In fact, RP scored just a few minutes before the end of the game and TP could not equate the score despite much efforts. It was a sad match for some of the TP players as some headed home in tears." -wah piang, appearing on RP website! sounds so cocky and funny, dharshy! [extracted from: http://myrp.sg/]

You really made my morning a great day. Alright, driving this morning at 7am. madness. Although i was awake already but my body is still in the semi-conscious state. My sis woke up for Morning Pm while i find my way through to that ever farmiliar parking lot at Bukit Gombak, it was just 3 private car driving in that huge circuit, madness. N because i was semi-conscious, my instructor keep nagging and it's never ending. Super irritating la!

I must say i really hate it, 1 hour inside the circuit at super slow speed and suddenly back to the main road where you're going at gear 3 and gear 4. The transistion ah, is very subtle, and i don't like the feeling. It's like in a biathalon, the transistion of swimming to running, when you're trying to make your body get use to the change in environement. The sudden change in momentum, change in speed and whats not, the traffic condition. Ew, hate it.

So yeah, back to my crappy day. Driving and this water polo post. N now, it's back to fyp. It's 51 pages long of report and i'm still touching up, so much editting to do, i've got to do up the project template, complete the fyp asap because somehow supervisor Hong Ling Tim volunteered our FYP project to be displayed for open house. Well, i don't know if that's good or bad. There's 2 ways how you see it: Good means we're good that's why they want us. My heart is willing but my body is unwillling.

Bad means: we're going to rush like a mad dog to quickly complete our project and that means it'll waste our 3 days during open house, while everyother fellow mates are sleeping at home.

Yeah. Okay, back to editting and more editting. Goodday!
