the victory sign.

i am so enjoying it.
Coming back from a country that function on the left side, the moment i step into true homeland, i felt a little disorientated. In China, crossing the road is a challenge. In Singapore, we look at the right first before we move off, but it works the other way round in China. On the escalator, even the toilet is on the flip side. Alot of things that i would not have expected.
The temperature there is bearable. In fact, I really enjoy the cool weather, just put on more jackets and sweaters, wear the gloves, you will be fine.
I would never have expected the hair serum i brought there cannot be used! It has frozen up, the moisturizer too, even my lip balm, i have to rub it to heat it up. We had to wear mouth mask, ear muff was a must also, scarf, everything to cover you from top to bottom. It was so cold. The lowest it went was about -30degrees. Well, it did not snow when we were in Haerbin, but it did when we left. That is really sad. Well, but i believe when i was in Shen Yang, there was snow shower, just a very light one though. so i did touch the fluffy snow. Very awesome!
I never did expected the transport in Beijing to be so cheap, 2RMB regardless how far you are travelling. Well, at least this is a project for their local to utilize the public transport so that they can reduce the number of cars on the road.
The whole trip was lead by a local tour-guide who is a money-eater i would say. Beijing -> Haerbin-> Jilin -> ChangChun -> Sheng Yang -> Da Lian and back to Beijing. Of which, it was led by different tour guide for every city we went. Haerbin was the highlight of the trip, but apart from what was meant for us to see, everything else was not so good.
The tourguide was not very good, all she wanted was our money. There was a lady who fell down and needed to go to the hospital. She kept asking her not to, scarring her with the expenses, the things she might expect if she even step into the hospital. hais. she brought us to this shop which claim to be a warehouse selling all the shoes and all and it cost a good 220RMB when we saw it selling at 50RMB elsewhere. Everybody was so furious, it was followed by alot of non-sensical shops that theybrought us to. Always buying all the things and out of it the guide will get the commission.
Yeah, that is the bad experience we had with the tour but other than that the free and easy at beijing was the best!If you think bargaining at Bangkok is fun, try Beijing (Silk street), i am so having a kick out of it! Yong He Dou Jiang is my favourite, and the road-side stall food was great also. Shopping at Silk Street, Dong dan and Xi dan was so fun because my brother and i make a good pair when we bargain. HAHAHA. ridiculous prices, very shiok! Skiing was the highlight in Beijing and it was definately awesome! I will return again next winter hopefully. :)
Fow now, i am back to un-packing. Lot of clothes, lots of food, lots of emails, letters, need to send clothes for dry-cleaning! goodbye!
